Private Pilot License (PPL)
What is a Private Pilot License?
The Private Pilot Certificate, internationally referred to as the Private Pilot License (PPL), allows students to obtain the foundational knowledge and skills for all future aircraft pilot training.
As a Private Pilot, you can fly an airplane day and night in visual flight conditions and carry passengers (friends, family, co-workers, etc.). You cannot fly for paid compensation or hire. However, you can share the operating expenses with your passengers. The PPL is your foundation course on a basic flight training to an airline pilot career.
Commercial Pilot – Single-Engine Course:
The Commercial Single-Engine License (CSEL) Initial course is a logical step for some pilots based upon their career track. The course is conducted in a single-engine Piper Arrow complex training aircraft and covers Chandelles, Eights-on-Pylons, and Lazy Eights, perfecting the use of a rudder.
Students that have completed the CMEL course, may enroll in the Single-Engine Add-On Rating course which covers the same topics as the CSEL Initial but is conducted in the Cessna 172, as complex aircraft training requirements have already been met.
Instrument Rating (IR) Course:
The Instrument Rating is the next logical step, after the Private Pilot License, for pilots looking to expand the flight territory in which they can safely operate, and to increase their overall business/personal flight capabilities. The certification itself is supplementary to the Private Pilot or Commercial licenses, and qualifies the pilot to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
Instrument Rating Course Overview:
The Instrument Pilot Course is designed to teach pilots to operate aircraft in low-visibility environments, such as heavy cloud cover or heavy rain. The flight lessons in the course provide pilots the knowledge to rely solely on instruments to navigate the aircraft in situations where they cannot rely on visual instincts.
As many pilots can attest, weather conditions do not always permit the sole reliance on visual flying tactics, which hinders the ability to fly on certain days. The Instrument Rating is essential for any pilot looking to improve flight safety and proceed with their pursuit of a career in flying. Pilots without the rating are prevented from operating aircraft in certain weather conditions where visibility is greatly reduced, which limits their maximum allowable altitude, restricts the ability to operate the aircraft at night, and more.
Holding an Instrument Rating also allows pilots the ability to operate under an IFR flight plan which provides Air Traffic Control services not available to VFR pilots except upon special request, such as traffic advisories, airspace transitions, and vectors. When operating in high-volume airspace, these privileges are a significant advantage.
Commercial Pilot License Course:
Commercial Pilot
The FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate, internationally referred to as Commercial Pilot License (CPL) qualifies pilots to be financially compensated for piloting an aircraft. Unlike the Private Pilot Certificate, which is designed for recreational use and only permits the licensed pilot to share the cost of the flight, a CPL is the key to earning money through your service as an aircraft pilot.
Meeting minimum equivalent licensing requirements to be co-validated as a commercial pilot across the world, with the exception of countries in the European Union, African and Asian region that require our FAA with ATPL Course, our pilot training courses are recognized internationally.
Commercial Pilot License Course Overview:
Offering different commercial pilot course options to suit the individual needs of our aspiring career pilots, our flight school prepares students for prosperous aviation careers through a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism.
Single-Engine Commercial Initial –
Multi-Engine Commercial Initial –
Multi-Engine Commercial Add-On
Single-Engine Commercial Add-On
All our students enrol directly after completing their Instrument Rating, rather than having to first build additional flight time. All of our Commercial courses cover procedures required for students to meet the FAA Commercial Pilot Training Practical Test Standards. Mastering maneuvers essential for complex aircraft operation in state-of-the-art training Cessna and Piper aircraft, our Commercial Pilots are thoroughly prepared for the jet cockpit of their dreams.
Commercial Pilot – Multi-Engine Course:
The Commercial Multi-Engine License (CMEL) course is conducted in a multi-engine Piper Seminole training aircraft, which is defined as “complex” because it has a constant speed propeller and retractable landing gear. The course is essential for aspiring airline pilots and covers topics such as Slow Flight, Stalls, and VMC Demos, focusing on proper procedures for complex emergency situations.

Multi-Engine Flight Instructor (MEI)
As an MEI, you will have the qualifications and credentials to teach students in Multi-Engine courses. Students who truly dedicate themselves to completing their MEI, study hard, and make pilot training their top priority can complete within a 3-weeks period.
Part-time students that are working or enrolled in school may find that their CFI takes 8 weeks to finish based on an estimated 3 activities per week and the students ability to learn. However, our listed course duration are estimates, and we highly encourage you to talk with an Admissions Representative directly about your training needs and availability for a customized approximation.
*Students must have a minimum of 15 hours of Multi-Engine PIC time in order to qualify as a Multi-Engine instructor. Students with previous flight experience typically only require 5 hours of dual PA-44 flight time.

Flight Instructor - Single Engine
This CFI course is designed to take a Commercial Pilot single or multi engine airplane certificate holder to the completion of the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate training in just 14 days.
Check ride is scheduled and completed in the 3rd week
Most airline pilots and other professional pilots have “cut their teeth” as flight instructors. There is really no other better option than being a flight instructor to gain all that experience and flight time necessary to advance on to the other professional pilot careers, like airline pilot jobs.
Prerequisites:
A current FAA Commercial Pilot certificate (or ATP) with Airplane Category (ASEL or AMEL)
A minimum of class III medical certificate, valid. Basic Med is acceptable.
FIA and FOI exam passed (preferred, but not required), or Ground Instructor in lieu of FOI.
Course Structure:
Our CFI initial course is a very detailed, thorough and hands-on course, and requires a lot of hard work and dedication on the part of the applicant as well as the instructors. The course is about 60-80 hours of ground school, and 10-12 hours of flight training. You need to keep in mind that the CFI training is about being able to teach aviation, both on the ground and in flight. This course is not about your piloting skills. We understand that you already hold at least a commercial pilot certificate, hence you already have mastered the art of flying. Now it is about mastering the art of teaching aviation.
This is the reason why the CFI course is always ground heavy. The 60+ hours of ground school includes all the subject areas covered in the Fundamentals of Instruction and the Flight Instructor Aeronautical Knowledge. You will have to spend a lot of time yourself for self study, and also practice teaching on other students while your instructor is supervising. By the time you are ready for your FAA checkride you will have gained all the knowledge and confidence necessary to qualify as a flight instructor and teach others how to fly.
The Flight portion of the course includes all the Private, Commercial and CFI maneuvers, with you teaching from the right seat. The course also includes the required spin awareness, entry and recovery techniques. At the completion of the course you will have all the skill and confidence necessary to teach another pilot while sitting in the right seat of an airplane.
Typical Training Day:
A typical training day includes 2 ground training sessions of about 3-4 hours duration with your ground instructor, and one flight schedule of about 1-2 hour duration with your flight instructor, and another 3-4 hour session of self study, video session and lesson plan preparation and research work. By the end of the training you will be ready to hit the bed to get a good night’s sleep to be ready for the next day’s routine.
Checkride:
In most cases the CFI applicants will take their CFI checkride with a local Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE)
